December Meeting

1) Windows 8

• It's here! It looks like Apple.
• You don't know just how different Windows 8 really is.
• It looks as if we bounght a "Mac)"
• Do I have to switch?
• What about my software; do I have to buy all new software?
• No "Mouse" or Is THAT your finger? Why won't you scroll up and down the page

Following Jim's presetation, we should all know if you want a new typewriter?

We suggest you run Windows 8 upgrade assistant before you come to the meeting.

3) Food Pantry Collection: FINAL DAY

We will be collecting food for Dare to Care. Please bring a few items that can be distributed by the local food pantries. We will be collecting food during our October, November and December General Meetings.

4) Table Full of Holliday Treats
Your Boad of Directors have offered to sponsor a Christmas Party. Rosemary is already baking. Eggnog has been ordered. John has promised not to bring potato salad. Chips and Drinks will arrive already bagged. Twinkies and Ho-Hos have sent their regrets. That leaves some room at the table if you would like to bring something to share. You may try a unique or untried recipe as a test before you have your real friends over. Two years ago, Rosemary brought cookies made with braunswieger sausage.

(There will be plenty so you are Not required to bring anything but a Spirit of Christmas Past, Christmas Present or Christmas Future.

Membership Drawing: Will U B There?

The names of all paid memberships go in the drawing - you have to be present at the time of the drawing to win! A shameless method to coax you to pay your dues and show up for the meeting!

Register for the meeting by high noon the day before and we will have your name tag printed, you can by-pass the registration line, and your name goes in the drawing for a "fabulous" door prize.
